Swannanoa

Swannanoa is a community once anchored in textile manufacturing with Beacon Textile Manufacturing establishing itself here in the early 1900's. The town is centrally located between Asheville and Black Mountain.  Prior to Interstate 40 being built, the main thoroughfare to get to Asheville was via Highway 70 which is where most of the businesses are located including the corporate offices for Ingles Supermarkets.
