Hendersonville

About halfway between Asheville and Greenville/Spartanburg, SC is Hendersonville, NC. Located in Henderson County (population 108,300), Hendersonville is on the Interstate 26 corridor which begins in Charleston SC and travels northwest through Asheville and on to Tennessee.

Hendersonville has a long history in agriculture with its apple orchards and greenhouses a large part of its economy. The Henderson County Curb Market remains popular and sellers must be county residents - some are third and fourth generation vendors. Hendersonville's quaint downtown attracts both tourists and residents alike with antique shops, boutiques and restaurants.

There's plenty to do outdoors in Henderson county too. DuPont State Forest covers several thousand acres and offers a variety activities for any outdoor enthusiast.
