Ken Rudolph, Realtor®

A North Carolina native, Ken has lived in the Asheville area for almost 35 years. While attending N. C. State University in the 1970’s Ken became familiar with the Asheville area on rock climbing and backing trips in many of our mountain’s scenic areas. His love of mountains took him west to graduate school at the University of Utah, where skiing and river running were favorite pursuits. That same love of mountains and the outdoors took him to the Pacific Northwest where sailing and skiing interests complemented a career in education at the University of Puget Sound. Eventually the beauty and culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains called him home and he returned to Asheville in 1989, joining the faculty at Asheville Buncombe Community College. Ken’s real estate skills are a convergence of expertise from careers in advertising, art, and higher education. An advertising career included sales and advertising production, so he understands the power that words and images have in successfully marketing client’s properties. Ken has also spent a significant amount of time in the area art community. Ken and his wife were founders of Ariel Gallery, a cooperative art gallery in the Asheville area. As a founder of a gallery and also as the President of the Asheville Downtown Gallery Association Ken learned the importance of mindful negotiation. Ken’s career also includes numerous years in higher education, both as an administrator and as a faculty member. As a faculty member he learned to be a good listener and was insistent that student’s not be complacent but be passionate in their pursuit of their goals. Understanding marketing, thoughtful negotiation, active listening and passion…real estate for Ken is a fusion of these.

Ken and his Nancy love travel and the outdoors and consider themselves “culture junkies”. They love different places, ideas, foods, and ways of life. No wonder the Asheville area is where they call home!
