Spring is bringing more activity to the Buncombe County housing market. According to the latest data, new listings were up 15.3% compared to last March, giving buyers more options as inventory climbs. In fact, the number of homes for sale rose 40.7% year-over-year, pushing the months supply of inventory from 2.4 to 3.7—a sign the market may be shifting toward better balance.
However, closed sales dipped 10%, and homes are sitting longer, with days on market up 23.5%. The median sales price also edged down slightly to $455,000, though the average price remained steady near $590,000.
