I had a chance to go sample some of this new restaurant's food last night with some friends. It was amazing. Huli Sues originally opened up in Hawaii and this will be their second location.
Their appetizers were amazing!! We had reuben spring rolls with house made pastrami, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut and Russian dip. Poke( raw fish) nachos appetizer that was topped with ocean salad, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and avocado with a house made sauce. Both equally different and delicious.
Our table shared a Fish and chips with pom frites, a sampler which consisted of Brisket, Pulled Pork, Baby back ribs, house made Sausage that came with the best ( not dry ) cornbread I have ever had.
The drinks we had consisted of a maple whiskey smash that was not too sweet and absolutely a perfect play on the old fashion. Also their Original Lilikoi Mule that was topped with a lime and an edible orchid. It was perfect.
We ended up bringing dessert home because we were so full but managed to devore it before bed. Hands down the BEST banana cream pie I have ever had. Chocolate cake and the Lilikoi topped cheesecake were incredible. They are scheduled to open up this Thursday 11/18/2021
